The Multi Skilled Tradesperson should be experienced and qualified to undertake various carpentry, plumbing and masonry work, and have a proven track record of high standard work.


Main Responsibilities:
Refurbishments of housing, apartments and offices including remedial work.
Repair works to roofing, brickwork, timber, and plumbing.


Skills and Qualifications:
At least 3 years experience of a building trade environment (Government - trade test 1). Environment (Government - trade test 1).


Knowledge of partition walls, suspended ceilings, window/door frame installation, roofing joists, flooring, shuttering, tank installations, bathroom installations, tiling, pipe work, pumps, drainage systems, gas installations, brickwork, block work, rendering, plastering, tape and jointing and concreting,
Ability to perform various jobs to a high standard whilst under pressure.
Ability to work independently and work well within a team.
Good organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and staff expectations in a safe and efficient manner.
Valid, clean driving licence is desirable.


Compensation package:
The gross monthly salary for this post is Tsh 1,146,055, plus a 10% matching contribution to a local pension fund. Medical insurance is also included.

Qualification and Experience


Master Degree in Engineering/Economics/ Land Management or law from a reputable learning institution:
Work experience of not less than ten years (10) in relevant field in which five (5) should be in Senior Management position in a reputable organization;


Proven leadership and managerial skills with ability to handle multi – functional teams and projects with highest integrity to enhance performance and manage change;


An ability to illustrate and encourage creativity and innovative ideas, effective problem solving, excellent communication and timely decision making skills;
Computer literacy is essential.

Strategic Performance
Existence of effective strategic plan and implementation plan of Capital development Authority;
Evidence on proper and effective use of corporate resources in accordance to laws, rules and regulations governing the Authority;

Periodical reports (Annual reports Proceedings, Auditor Reports) are prepared and effectively communicated to Board of Deliberations and other stakeholders;

Existence of effective reform programmes/engagements and amended acts that attract investors (Foreign and Domestic), and rehabilitate maintain and existence of new development programme and projects. Infrastructures and houses enabling the government transfer of the Capital City of Dodoma;

Existence of effective Monitoring and Evaluation system of CDA activities.


Operational Performance
Maintain effective working linkages with relevant Municipal Councils, Agencies and development partners to ensure success in achieving Authority objectives;
Strengthening of Authority capacity in terms of technology transfer and knowledge from institutions with similar duties;
Effective communication of information to stakeholders is undertaken.


Management and administration
Director General will provide oversight to all Authority activities, manage day –to day operation and ensure smooth functioning of the Authority and its efficiency;-


Effective implementation of Authority systems, procedure and controls with regular reviews to ensure its sustainability;


Presence of work environment that attract, retain and support competent personnel.
Sensitize the community on urban plan and infrastructure.
Financial Management
Ensure sustainable financing of the Authority to support objectives;


Oversee the financial activities of the Authority including budgeting and Audit.

Position Description:

Editors may work on a variety of productions including feature films, television programs, music videos, corporate training videos or commercials.
Typical work activities

Digital technology, specialist computer software and high-quality digitization of sound and pictures have effectively replaced the traditional manual method of cutting film. Depending on the product, an editor may be very involved in creating the narrative, structure and tone of the program  or film.
The process of work for an editor involves:


receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay;
assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer;


inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer;
digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable;
Reordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
Additional tasks may include:


overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing;
consulting with the director, producer and/or client throughout the post-production process;
familiarizing yourself with the style of specific directors;


experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements;
selecting the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance or continuity;
